A. or B. S.) or equivalent from four-year college in Business, Human Resources, Psychology, or related field preferred.

5+ years of experience in Human Resources Partner or Generalist role.

Strong HR functional expertise; working knowledge on employment law matters, employment legislation, and compliance management.

Prior experience in big box multi-unit retail environment is a plus.

Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.**Computer Skills:** To perform this job successfully, an individual must be proficient in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.

HRIS experience is required.

Facilitate new hire orientations for all incoming employees for the SOMD area

Manage exit and transfer processing for terminating employees through exit interviews, coordination of paperwork, tracking of exit feedback, and providing trend analysis

Provide employee guidance and monitor FMLA/ADA/STD leaves

Advise management in employee relation issues, performance management/improvement and corrective action

Manage offer letter contingencies

Complete unemployment paperwork for various states

Act as backup to other team members as needed

Assist with the administration of HR programs and initiatives as requested

Monitor the HR email box and coordinate with HR team for action items

Assist HR management and sector VPs with special projects as needed
