General Schedule: Position typically works Monday-Friday from 8am-5pm in-office at UCO's main campus in Edmond, Oklahoma. Position Overview: High level of customer service and employee interaction. Researches, reconciles and resolves issues. Administer programs and coordinate benefits through HRIS system. Research benefit plans and providers and makes recommendations. Administer benefit programs and may assist in the development of programs. Job Duties: Oversees the following functions within the Benefits Department: Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA) process ownership HRIS system maintenance and data entry New Employee Orientation presentation and new hire benefit enrollment processes Day to day customer service-related correspondence Supports the Manager of Benefits and team with the following items: Retiree open enrollment Active employee open enrollment Strategic plan design and new program implementation Other duties as assigned Qualifications/Experience Required: Bachelor's degree in job related field plus 3+ years of work experience or equivalent combination of education and experience. Qualifications/Experience Preferred: Strong knowledge of Excel techniques such as v-lookups/other formulas. Excellent customer service skills. The ability to think critically and multi-task. Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Excellent oral and written communication skills. Great customer service skills and the ability to keep calm and speak respectfully even if the situation gets stressful. Must possess good organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills, along with the ability to work in a collaborative environment. Must be detailed oriented. Ability to meet deadlines. Strong computer skills, especially in Excel and database management.
