About Inhance
Inhance Digital is an award-winning immersive technology, modeling and simulation, and software development company serving the Department of Defense, federal agencies, and other mission-driven organizations. We create advanced interactive solutions that combine XR, AI/ML, digital twins, real-time 3D visualization, simulation, and custom software platforms to solve complex training, readiness, maintenance, decision‑support, and operational challenges.
Our work spans defense and public‑sector applications including immersive training systems, AR/VR‑enabled mission support, planning and visualization tools, digital engineering environments, AI‑assisted decision support, and next‑generation simulation platforms.
We are growing our government business and are looking for a high‑performing, entrepreneurial sales leader to help expand strategic customer relationships, build pipeline, and win new work.
Position Overview
We are seeking a driven, strategic, and hands‑on Sales and Business Development Director to lead growth across Inhance’s government sector business. This person will be responsible for identifying and qualifying opportunities, building relationships with government and industry partners, shaping deals early, supporting capture and proposal efforts, and helping close new business across the defense and federal market.
This is a hunter‑builder‑closer role for someone who thrives in a growth environment and is excited to help scale a company with differentiated capabilities in immersive software, simulation, AI‑enabled applications, and digital transformation.
Key Responsibilities
Generate and qualify new leads through outbound prospecting, account research, strategic networking, events, and targeted business development activity
Build and manage a qualified pipeline across DoD, federal civilian, and adjacent public‑sector opportunities
Identify, pursue, and help shape opportunities in areas such as modeling and simulation, immersive training, XR/AR, digital twins, AI‑enabled decision support, and custom software platforms
Manage the full business development lifecycle from early relationship building and discovery through capture, proposal support, negotiation, and close
Present Inhance capabilities to senior government, military, and industry stakeholders
Develop and maintain relationships with prime contractors, OEMs, teaming partners, integrators, and innovation organizations
Monitor and pursue opportunities through SAM.gov, agency forecasts, OTAs, SBIR/STTR pathways, consortium channels, and partner networks
Collaborate with leadership, technical teams, and proposal contributors on white papers, capability briefs, RFI responses, and formal proposals
Help shape win strategies, customer messaging, solution positioning, and pricing strategy
Travel to trade shows, conferences, industry days, customer meetings, and other in‑person business development events
Maintain accurate CRM records, opportunity tracking, pipeline reporting, and revenue forecasting
Support expansion of select existing government and strategic partner accounts
What Success Looks Like
Success in this role means:
Building a strong pipeline of qualified government opportunities
Opening doors with the right government customers, primes, and strategic partners
Increasing Inhance’s visibility and credibility in defense and public‑sector markets
Advancing opportunities from early engagement to proposal and award
Helping leadership prioritize the highest‑value pursuits
Contributing directly to revenue growth and long‑term strategic positioning
Qualifications
5+ years of experience in government business development, sales, capture, or account growth in defense tech, simulation/training, enterprise software, emerging technology, or related sectors
Proven track record of generating and closing new business
Experience selling complex, solution‑based offerings rather than commodity products
Strong executive presence and ability to communicate with senior government, military, and industry stakeholders
Experience managing opportunities through long sales cycles and multiple decision‑makers
Comfortable working with technical teams to shape solutions around customer needs
Familiarity with government procurement pathways, including traditional solicitations, innovation channels, consortium/OTA environments, and/or SBIR/STTR ecosystems
Strong CRM discipline and pipeline management skills
Willingness to travel as needed for business development activities and industry events
Preferred Qualifications
Existing relationships within DoW, federal agencies, defense primes, or innovation organizations
Experience in one or more of the following areas:
Modeling and simulation
XR / AR / VR / immersive training
AI/ML‑enabled applications
Mission planning, visualization, or decision‑support tools
Experience supporting proposals, white papers, RFI/RFQ responses, or capture strategy
Familiarity with military training, sustainment, readiness, logistics, public safety, or operational technology markets
Who You Are
Entrepreneurial and self‑directed
Proactive and growth‑oriented
Strategic but execution‑focused
Strong communicator and relationship builder
Comfortable with ambiguity and evolving priorities
Curious, resourceful, and coachable
Collaborative with leadership, technical teams, and proposal contributors
Motivated by accountability and performance‑based compensation
Excited to help grow a mission‑driven technology company serving important national and public‑sector needs
