Performance Marketing Specialist
Strategic Wealth Designers, Raleigh, NC, United States
Nearly 23 years ago, 23-year-old Matthew Dicken grew frustrated with the issues plaguing the financial services industry and set out on a mission to change the industry standard and prioritize clients in retirement planning. What started as a small two-person team in a 1,200 sqft office in Louisville, KY, has evolved into the Strategic Wealth Designers we now know, with 18 locations across the U.S. and almost 100 employees. As we continue to grow, we're looking for passionate individuals to help take us to even greater heights.
At Strategic Wealth Designers (SWD) , we don’t hire to fill seats. We hire people who move the needle. We set a high bar and expect you to raise it. We measure ourselves by results and build systems that scale rather than excuses that justify misses. We value discipline, extreme ownership and real outcomes.
The Mission
You’re not here to “run ads.”
You’re here to own the full performance marketing engine that drives predictable, scalable growth.
You will build, execute, and optimize multi-channel digital marketing and demand generation programs across search, paid social and email that:
Generate predictable, scalable lead flow
Convert efficiently across landing pages and funnels
Strengthen the advisor/client ecosystem
Demonstrate clear ROI and influence revenue outcomes
Drive full-funnel digital demand generation from awareness through conversion
You will own and manage a six to seven figure paid media budget, allocating capital efficiently across channels to maximize return.
This is not a “support marketing” role. If campaigns underperform, conversion drops, or ROI stalls, you diagnose it, fix it, and optimize. You own the results.
If campaigns scale efficiently and drive revenue, you did your job.
What Winning Looks Like
You’ll know you’re winning when:
Paid media campaigns consistently hit or exceed KPI targets across platforms
Landing pages, forms, and funnels convert above benchmark and improve quarter over quarter
Cost Per Lead (CPL) decreases while lead quality improves
Marketing performance is clearly tied to pipeline and revenue
Cross-functional alignment ensures campaigns deliver qualified opportunities, not just activity
Budget is deployed efficiently across channels with clear, measurable return on ad spend
Multi-channel programs (search, paid social, email) work together to drive consistent demand generation
We don’t run campaigns to stay busy.
We run them to produce results.
What You’ll Be Responsible For
The Performance Marketing Specialist owns the full lifecycle of performance marketing, from strategy execution to optimization, with a direct impact on revenue growth. This role requires someone who can operate both in the details and at the strategic level, turning data into action and action into outcomes.
Performance Marketing and Campaign Ownership

Own performance across the full funnel from click to conversion
Continuously test, iterate and scale what works
Manage and optimize a six to seven figure paid media budget across channels
Allocate spend dynamically across search, paid social and other channels based on performance
You don’t manage campaigns. You improve them.
Multi-Channel Demand Generation
Own digital demand generation strategy
Develop integrated campaigns that nurture prospects from first touch through conversion
Align channel strategy to maximize volume, efficiency and lead quality across the funnel
We don’t think in channels. We think in systems that generate demand.
Funnels, Creative and Conversion Optimization
Creative & Landing Page Development: Build high-performing ad content, landing pages, and full conversion funnels.
Develop and test ad creative, messaging and offers
Identify friction points and improve conversion rates across every stage
We don’t guess. We test, learn and optimize.
Performance Measurement and Revenue Impact
Track and analyze KPIs including CPL, conversion rates and pipeline influence
Build reporting that connects marketing activity to revenue outcomes
Use data to drive decisions, not justify them
Measure and optimize performance across channels including attribution of search, paid social and email to pipeline and revenue
We measure performance to improve it.
Tools, Systems and Automation
Leverage tools like HubSpot, GA4, Looker Studio, Webflow and AI platforms
Build systems and automations that increase efficiency and scalability
Continuously improve the marketing tech stack
Leverage marketing automation and email to support lead nurturing and demand generation efforts
You don’t just use tools. You maximize them.
Cross-Functional Execution
Collaborate with design, content, operations and compliance teams
Ensure campaigns launch cleanly and execute without friction
Own outcomes across teams, not just tasks within your lane
You are accountable for results, not handoffs.
KPIs/Measures of Success
Qualified Leads Generated
Pipeline and Revenue Influenced
Appointment Bookings
Return on Ad Spend
Channel contribution to pipeline
