The Support Services Business Unit at DEA, a company ranked No.2 in the Northwest by ENR for “making a difference” in transportation, water and environment, energy, land development, marine services, and surveying and geomatics, has an opportunity for a Marketing Coordinator with our California Team. This position can be located in Ontario, Los Angeles, or Tustin.
This is a progressive position working as a part of our corporate marketing team to support the business development and marketing process. The ideal candidate is a highly organized and motivated team player, who enjoys client strategy, proactive proposal process, and can work efficiently in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. This position will work directly with other experienced marketers and business development staff to support the client relationship, manage the positioning/proposal process, prepare teams for interviews, and assemble various collateral materials.
This role is not centered on advertising campaigns or influencer-style social media marketing. Instead, you’ll gain insight into how professional services firms compete for and win complex engineering projects.
What You’ll Do
Key Responsibilities
Providing client-focused marketing support within the California region supporting both public and private clients
Coordinating with marketers and business development staff to develop client relationships and proposals
Conducting market research to better understand client and market needs
Leading the production of proposals, SOQs, and collateral materials in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
Leading with interviews and presentation preparation
Coordinating with marketers and business development staff to develop a solid pipeline of qualified pursuits
Maintaining CRM (client relationship management) information including marketing and client contact database
Supporting client teams in partnership with client leaders
Effectively collaborating with the shared marketing services team to support other regions, as necessary
Leading strategy for trade show, award submittals, and conference participation, including development of branded materials
Assist in social media content, including website updates
What You Bring
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or related field or equivalent
Five plus years’ experience in professional marketing services within the A/E/C industry
Proficiency in MS applications, InDesign, Photoshop, Acrobat, and a CRM Database
Must have strong written and oral communication skills, and strong graphics aptitude
Able to work as part of a team and promote all of DEA
Preferred Qualifications
Emphasis/understanding of the clients in California
Experience with Deltek Vision

The posted salary range represents the typical range for this position and is provided in accordance with applicable state and local pay transparency laws. Actual compensation will be commensurate with experience, qualifications, and geographic location.
