OB Hospitalist Opportunity
Just West of Indianapolis | Level III Perinatal Center & NICU
Not for Profit System in Terre Haute, Indiana is seeking a Board-Certified OB/GYN to join a well-established OB Hospitalist team at the region’s only OB delivery center. This is a 100% inpatient, shift-based role with no clinic or outpatient duties, designed for physicians who enjoy high-acuity obstetrics with strong backup and predictable scheduling.

- Dedicated 9-bed OB Emergency Department (24/7/365)
- Level III Perinatal Center & Level III NICU
- ~1,800 deliveries/year | 3,800–4,000 OBED visits annually
- 2 OB-dedicated ORs located directly on the unit
- Separate Labor & Postpartum units (non-LDRP model)
- VBACs supported | Primary C-section rate: 23%
- Teaching environment with Family Medicine residents
Schedule & Openings
- Full-Time: 7–8 shifts/month (84 shifts/year)
- PRN: 1–3 shifts/month is available if desired
- 24-hour in-house shifts (8 AM–8 AM)
- No back-to-back shifts | Schedules built 3 months in advance
Exceptional Clinical Support
- In-house OB anesthesia & CRNA coverage 24/7
- In-house Neonatology 24/7
- Employed MFM within 5 minutes
- Pediatricians round on all newborns
- Strong nursing support with a team-oriented, mentorship culture
- da Vinci D5 & Xi robots available
Compensation & Benefits
- $3,840 per 24-hr shift
- $322,000 annual income and higher
- $25K sign-on bonus
- $4,500 CME + $1,000 license allowance
- $10K relocation assistance
