Job Title: Property Manager
Location: Hybrid in Washington, DC (must be in the DC area, or close)
Salary: $80,000 - $90,000 annually (based on experience) + commission
About the Role:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Property Manager with 3-5 years of experience to oversee the daily operations of a portfolio of residential properties. This role requires strong organizational and communication skills, excellent client relations, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage day-to-day operations of assigned residential properties Serve as the primary point of contact for owners and tenants, addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly Coordinate leasing activities, including managing make-ready work, creating marketing materials, conducting showings, screening applications, onboarding new tenants and conducting move-in and move-out inspections Ensure timely rent collection and manage delinquency processes Oversee property maintenance and repairs progress along with the Maintenance Coordinator Manage ongoing process of lease renewals including market analysis, collaboration with owner and negotiating with tenants Conduct regular property inspections to ensure compliance and upkeep Ensure adherence with local, state, and federal housing regulations Maintain accurate records, leases, and documentation Requirements
3-5 years of experience in residential property management DC Property Manager License (preferred, but we'll help you get it if not) Strong knowledge of property management practices and housing regulations Excellent communication and customer service skills Proven ability to manage vendors and maintenance operations Proficiency with property management software (Propertyware preferred) and Microsoft Office Strong organizational and problem-solving skills Ability to work weekends and evenings when necessary Reliable transportation to conduct property visits What We're Looking For
