Senior Consultant - Strategy & Transactions
We are seeking a high-performing Quality of Earnings (Qoe) Specialist with 46 years of relevant experience and an active CPA designation to join our Strategy & Transactions team. This individual will play a critical role in executing financial due diligence engagements for private equity and corporate clients across the deal lifecycle. The ideal candidate brings strong analytical capabilities, a solid foundation in accounting, and direct experience delivering buy-side and/or sell-side Qoe analyses in a fast-paced, transaction-oriented environment. Key Responsibilities Lead and support Quality of Earnings (Qoe) engagements for buy-side and sell-side transactions Analyze historical financial statements to assess earnings sustainability, working capital trends, and cash flow quality Identify and quantify non-recurring items, EBITDA adjustments, and accounting anomalies Develop and maintain Qoe databooks, reports, and executive-ready deliverables Collaborate with clients, investment bankers, and deal stakeholders to gather data and address key diligence questions Participate in client calls and management interviews, synthesizing findings into actionable insights Support deal execution timelines, ensuring high-quality deliverables under tight deadlines Assist with business development efforts, including proposal development and client relationship management Mentor junior team members and review workstreams as appropriate Qualifications Cpa (required) 46 years of experience in Transaction Advisory, Deal Advisory, or related field Experience at a Big 4 or recognized mid-tier consulting / accounting firm (e.g., Rsm, Bdo, Grant Thornton, etc.) Demonstrated experience performing or supporting Qoe / financial due diligence engagements Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP, financial statement analysis, and deal dynamics Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint Exceptional attention to detail, problem-solving, and analytical skills Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present to senior stakeholders Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment Preferred Experience Experience working with private equity clients and middle-market transactions Exposure to ERP systems such as Sap, Oracle NetSuite, Microsoft Dynamics 365, or QuickBooks is a plus Exposure to data analytics tools (e.g., Alteryx, Power BI) Knowledge of Government Contracting environments (e.g., familiarity with Far, Cas, revenue recognition for long-term contracts, and DCAA audits) is a plus Experience in integration planning or Day 1 / Day 100 readiness is a plus What We Offer Opportunity to work on high-impact M&A transactions across diverse industries Collaborative, entrepreneurial team environment Direct exposure to clients, senior leadership, and deal stakeholders Competitive compensation, bonus structure, and benefits Clear career progression within Strategy & Transactions About Sc&h Sc&h is a national consulting and financial services firm with an expanding global footprint home to people who believe in the power of trusted personal relationships. Salary & benefits The expected annual base salary for this position is $115,000-$130,000. Salary offers are made based on a variety of candidate specific factors such as candidate's skills, performance, job responsibilities, prior relevant experience, certain degrees and certifications and market considerations.
