SUMMARY The Dining Room Manager is a key member of Rolling Rock Club’s Food and Beverage leadership team. This individual ensures exceptional Member dining experiences through hands-on supervision, service execution, and attention to detail. The role demands strong leadership, professionalism, and collaboration across departments to uphold the Club’s high service standards and traditions. This position will ensure that the quality of standards in the dining room operation are consistently maintained. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Leadership & Supervision Directly supervises Maître d’, service team, and expeditors across a la carte dining, club events, and private functions Maintains a strong floor presence during all meal periods, engaging with Members and supporting staff Upholds and enforces all Club policies, SOPs, and service standards Provides training, coaching, and feedback to team members Maintains a professional and polished demeanor at all times, setting the tone for the department Service Operations Oversees setup, execution, and breakdown of all dining services and events Creates daily action plans, floorplans and staffing assignments Coordinates with culinary team to ensure appropriate pacing, timing and service quality Assist with service after all Members have been seated Monitors a la carte dinner reservations, waitlists & private events to effectively forecast staffing needs and changes, and also to accommodate member reservation changes Monitors weather forecasts for outdoor dining and events Performs server, Maître d’, or expeditor duties when needed Ensures all dining areas meet appearance, cleanliness, and ambiance standards Administrative & Financial Performs daily and nightly billing of banquet event orders (BEO’s) and a la carte meal services Manages par levels and ordering of paper goods, dining room equipment, coffee/tea, and service items Maintains accurate inventories of china, glassware, flatware and other necessary items Completes daily F&B reporting and event summaries Assists with labor management to meet departmental budget goals Technology & Menus Maintains and updates the Northstar POS system Oversees formatting and printing of daily menus with accuracy and professionalism3. Ensures accurate and updated menu knowledge among service staff Other Responsibilities Attends weekly F&B meetings and monthly leadership meetings to engages with insight and direction Maintains ServSafe and RAMP certifications Communicates and enforces Member house policies with discretion and consistency Has strong understanding of Club layout and where all the rooms are located. Be courteous to Members by addressing them by their name and proper marital status or professional designation. Communicate to a manager with any Member requests or complaints right away. Maintains Club’s standard of dress code and personal hygiene. Attend meetings and training courses as required by managers. Knowledge of upcoming Club events. Maintains regular, consistent and reliable attendance. Respects the Club’s customs and traditions and works to preserve Rolling Rock Club as a ‘Quiet Country English Manor.’ Other related assignments as necessary. QUALIFICATIONS Required Servsafe manager certification within six months of employment. Ability to pass a background check and drug screening. Must be well-groomed and well-presented with no visible tattoos or multiple piercings Associate degree in Hospitality or related field preferred Minimum of 1–3 years of supervisory experience in a fine dining or private club setting Strong organizational, leadership, and interpersonal communication skills Proficiency with POS systems and Microsoft Office Suite Open to working holidays and weekends SKILLS Ability to communicate in English both orally and in writing Ability to operate a standard golf cart around Club property. Must always be organized and maintain cleanliness of workstation Ability to speak using clear and professional language Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment Ability to assist Members with questions about the Club, history, and surrounding areas PHYSICAL DEMANDS Ability to lift 50 lbs. Ability to stand for long periods of time (8-10 hours consistently). Independent mobility through clubhouse. Hearing and talking sufficient to communicate with others.
