Marketing & Promotions Intern
to help expand our visibility and strengthen community engagement in downtown Oyster Bay.
This is an exciting opportunity for a student or emerging professional interested in marketing, communications, or community development to gain hands‑on experience promoting high‑impact local events and initiatives.
About the Role The Marketing & Promotions Intern will support OBMSA’s outreach and branding efforts by:
Managing and creating content for OBMSA’s social media accounts
Designing promotional materials (digital and print)
Assisting with marketing campaigns and event promotion
Helping coordinate messaging across platforms
Supporting general communications and marketing initiatives
You will help promote community events, including:
The Gold Coast Book Fair
The Oyster Bay Garden Tour
Dancing in the Street
Impact By increasing community engagement and event attendance, the Marketing & Promotions Intern plays a vital role in amplifying OBMSA’s presence. Strong promotion helps local businesses, volunteers, and sponsors thrive while strengthening downtown Oyster Bay as a vibrant destination.
Ideal Candidate
Strong writing and communication skills
Experience or interest in social media management and content creation
Basic graphic design skills (Canva or similar tools a plus)
Organized, creative, and detail-oriented
Passionate about supporting local businesses and community events
