Senior Commercial Counsel

Our client at KF is looking for a Senior Commercial Counsel (Interim / Full-Time, 40 Hours per Week) remote in CA. Responsibilities

Draft, review, and negotiate revenue-facing commercial agreements, including strategic alliance, distribution, SaaS, data, software, and services agreements

Partner closely with sales and go-to-market teams to quarterback deals from intake through execution in a high-volume, fast-turn environment

Lead complex negotiations with major enterprise customers, including counterparties with sophisticated procurement, legal, security, and business stakeholders

Support RFPs, product launches, and other commercial initiatives while providing practical, business-oriented legal guidance

Skills Required

Strong revenue-side commercial contracting experience in a SaaS or technology environment

Demonstrated experience leading

large-dollar enterprise transactions

with major customers that have

robust procurement and negotiation processes

Ability to manage demanding sales stakeholders and independently drive complex deals to completion

Experience with high-volume commercial work, fast turnaround times, and broad agreement types including SaaS, licensing, and strategic partnerships

Comfort operating in a fast-moving, evolving business with shifting priorities and leanly resourced teams

Education & Work Experience

J.D. from an accredited law school and active bar membership in good standing

Senior-level commercial counsel experience supporting revenue-facing teams, ideally in a

high-growth SaaS or emerging technology business

Experience working in

startup and/or scaled growth-stage technology companies

preferred

Background supporting large enterprise customer deals is strongly preferred; candidates from more traditional or legacy technology environments will be less compelling unless they can show strong high-growth and enterprise deal experience
