About our client Our client, a global large‑cap private equity fund, is currently looking to hire a Funds Legal Counsel to join its London office as part of the global legal team. The firm, which is well established within the industry, currently invests through multi‑asset classes. It has a strong international presence and has performed extremely well in recent times. Due to growth and plans to close on multiple fundraises over the next few years, the fund is therefore looking to add the expertise of an experienced private equity funds lawyer to the team.
What the job involves
Take charge of structuring and establishing the firm's funds from start to finish
Prepare, review and negotiate all essential documentation for fund formation
Serve as the lead legal architect for fund frameworks in multiple jurisdictions
Provide guidance on fund economics and structural aspects
Act as main legal contact point for LPs during fundraising activities
Direct and coordinate external counsel across multiple jurisdictions
Manage ad‑hoc corporate and business‑based legal tasks when needed
Who we are looking for
Experienced in private equity or private credit fund formation
Experience can be gained from private practice or in‑house within a fund
Good knowledge of multiple regulatory frameworks
UK qualified solicitor
Commercial mindset and a hands on attitude
