to join one of our leading healthcare clients. Position Overview

We are seeking a Cybersecurity Sr. Specialist to support the implementation and oversight of cybersecurity policies, controls, and tools across product software environments. This role will serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in cybersecurity technologies and practices, helping to maintain a strong security posture across R&D software products. The ideal candidate will play a key role in identifying and mitigating cybersecurity risks, supporting audit readiness, conducting gap assessments, and ensuring compliance with regulatory and industry standards. Key Responsibilities

Cybersecurity Implementation & Operations

Develop, implement, and maintain secure and resilient cloud-based processes in collaboration with architects and system engineers. Partner with development and DevOps teams to implement security controls and monitoring solutions across applications and embedded systems. Secure applications across public, private, and hybrid cloud environments. Implement and maintain enterprise security controls and configurations to minimize risk. Risk Management & Compliance

Conduct cybersecurity risk assessments, vulnerability analyses, and gap assessments against industry frameworks and regulatory standards. Identify security risks, document findings, and support remediation efforts. Ensure compliance with global security, privacy, and regulatory requirements (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001). Support regulatory intelligence activities by monitoring evolving cybersecurity and privacy regulations and translating them into actionable improvements. Audit & Governance

Support internal and external audit activities, including preparation, documentation, and response coordination. Develop and maintain security standards, policies, and procedures aligned with industry best practices. Participate in third-party/vendor security assessments and reviews. Monitoring & Continuous Improvement

Monitor systems for emerging threats and vulnerabilities and recommend mitigation strategies. Conduct periodic security reviews to identify inefficiencies and potential violations. Lead remediation initiatives for identified security gaps. Stay current with evolving cybersecurity trends, threats, and regulatory requirements. Collaboration & Communication

Work cross-functionally with engineering, operations, and compliance teams to ensure secure product development and deployment. Serve as a cybersecurity advisor in project meetings to promote secure design and implementation practices. Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Information Security, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience). 3–5 years of experience in cybersecurity, IT systems, or information security, preferably within product or application security. Strong knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks and standards such as NIST and ISO 27001. Experience supporting audits, compliance reviews, and gap assessments. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities. Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate across teams. Preferred Qualifications

Industry certifications such as CISSP, CCSP, AWS Certified Security, or similar. 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity, IT systems, or related fields. Experience in regulated industries or supporting compliance-driven environments. Background in product security, particularly for consumer-facing applications or embedded systems.
