Job Summary We are currently hiring for a
Digital and Graphic Designer
based in our
Houston
office. This will be a hybrid role with the requirement to work in the office 3 days per week. The Digital & Graphic Designer will be part of the marketing team responsible for creating and deploying multi‑language assets for use across Essentra Components' digital platforms, including website, email and social media, as well as printed collateral to support the marketing strategy aimed at acquiring new customers and retaining existing customers.
The Digital & Graphic Designer takes the lead on Essentra's marketing creative needs for both online and offline collateral and manages marketing team creative briefs from concept to production.
Typical Accountabilities
Lead the concept, design and production of printed materials to support commercial campaigns and exhibitions, such as stand design, flyers, postcards and miniblogs.
Lead the production of assets to be used across Essentra's digital presence.
Manage website graphics including reviewing, creating and uploading banners and updating landing page content.
Review and refresh webpages, maximizing available content and design opportunities.
Respond to queries regarding websites and solve or reassign appropriately.
Collaborate with Customer Acquisition Manager to coordinate translations for digital and print assets.
Collaborate with the Innovative Project Lead to design pages for campaigns e‑catalogues, including executing all translated versions for multiple locations.
Generate ideas independently and offer input on and develop strong and innovative creative digital marketing campaigns.
Visualize a concept and identify additional creative opportunities, all the time owning the creative output and enlisting support by sharing your vision, overcoming barriers and seeing campaigns through to fruition.
Champion in‑house creative capabilities with energy, passion and articulation.
Responsible for turning campaign briefs into creative assets across all relevant campaigns and platforms, from home page redesigns and A/B testing, to landing page creation, banners, email templates, email signatures and printed leaflets and brochures.
Qualifications
At least 2 years of previous graphic and digital design experience, either agency or in‑house
Experience with content management tools
Ability to take technical, detailed briefs and translate into creative and appropriate designs
Excellent design and layout skills
Strong skills in Adobe Creative Suite, website design/ html
Practical knowledge of digital marketing
Understanding of, and interest in improving user experience
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages
Ability to balance multiple projects with tight deadlines in a fast paced, reactive e‑commerce environment
Ability to think creatively, to produce new ideas and concepts, and challenge where required
Effective communicator with business users and project team
An eye for detail and a desire for consistency, whilst delivering excellent creative work
