The
Executive Recruiter
executes comprehensive retained and contingent searches for division clientele. Utilizing Scion Executive Search's proven process, the Executive Recruiter proactively networks, recruits, and secures exceptional leadership candidates while skillfully navigating executive search engagements on behalf of executive search committees and boards. Harnessing a consultative approach and proprietary search methodology, the Executive Recruiter leads strategic talent recruitment and networking activities while maintaining consistent and effective communication (internal and external) as well as eloquently managing the full cycle executive recruitment process. This energizing work includes leading search intake strategy meetings, analyzing data to provide client education/consultation (market insights and best practices), creating position announcements and search schedules, client management (check‑in meetings, formal status updates, interview planning, etc.), developing and executing search strategies, conducting candidate interviews, presenting candidates to clients, managing offer negotiations, and facilitating placement onboarding. Executive Recruiter
directly partners with the decision makers (search committee members, boards, etc.) of client organizations while proactively driving comprehensive executive recruitment activities to ensure successful outcomes are consistently achieved. This role provides essential contributions that will fuel the growth of the executive search division. Your success as an executive recruiter is directly related to your ability to facilitate the hiring of exceptional individuals who will create a positive impact within our client organizations (corporations, nonprofits, foundations, educational institutions, etc.) around the world! This important role will join a seasoned team of successful executive search principals, search associates, and operations‑focused team members who provide support; we work together to ensure a positive outcome for every search engagement! In addition to established systems and processes, our firm provides all recruiting team members with comprehensive recruiting tools/resources as well as mentorship and guidance from expert team leaders. What You’ll Do
Strategically lead/facilitate successful executive search engagements/placements to produce $425K+ in client billings/new revenue annually. Build strong relationships with current clients to further grow the Scion book of business via deeper partnerships and enhanced opportunities for support. Provide strategic direction and counsel to executive candidates and clients throughout the recruitment life cycle. Advise hiring managers, search committees, and boards on market conditions, salary requirements, and recruitment trends while promoting executive search best practices throughout every search engagement. Promote an exceptional candidate engagement experience while ensuring equity, professionalism, and kindness throughout the recruitment process. Utilize Scion Executive Search's proven executive search process to ensure standards are maintained. Execute strategic executive recruitment such as in‑depth candidate sourcing using Boolean search techniques. Create detailed market maps & cultivate robust candidate slates; interview/fully vet candidates, write candidate presentations, and present the slate to the client on time/ahead of the communicated deadline. Facilitate candidate background checks, reference verifications, etc. Construct and negotiate employment offer packages and advise clients on executive onboarding processes as needed to set up new hires for success. Work closely with the Executive Director of Scion Executive Search to employ their vision for the work and growth of the firm. Provide & receive feedback and implement enhancements to optimize process improvements. What You’ll Bring
A passion for executive search and the recruiting industry, and a strong desire to place incredible talent in some of the nation’s best companies and nonprofits. 1+ years of proven history/experience with recruiting while generating revenue/client billings. Demonstrated experience leading independent retained search processes, facilitating successful outcomes in partnership with Search Committees. Alternately, bring 5+ years of work experience entailing extensive communication and relationship‑building with organizational leaders (Senior Directors, VPs, C‑Suite), boards of directors, and other stakeholders. If not from a recruiting background, prior experience in nonprofit development, marketing, public relations, or sales is highly preferred. Passion for continued learning/evolution of knowledge. Ability to quickly learn/implement recruiting best practices, human resources, employment law, compensation structures, benefits, and diversity‑focused recruiting. Project management skills: ability to effectively prioritize competing priorities/multi‑task. Experience with Microsoft Word and Excel, as well as the ability to work effectively through Outlook/email. Experience working with applicant tracking systems (ATS)/customer relationship management (CRM) technology and LinkedIn Recruiter/online networking resources; experience working with Bullhorn ATS is a PLUS! Highly personable— you have a tremendous history of connecting with people and building strong, long‑term relationships. Strong abilities with written and verbal communication. Exceptional attention to detail and next‑level organization skills. Exceptional work ethic, professional drive, and high regard for follow‑through/upholding commitments. This is an awesome opportunity to join a dynamic, committed team and an award‑winning, professional, growth‑oriented executive search firm! In addition to a starting annual base salary of $60,000–$70,000 (DOE) with weekly pay, on‑target earnings for the first year are $123,000–$133,000+. Commissions for retained searches can range between $4,500–$10,000+ per placement (depending on the level of the search); your success is based on your individual performance and the achievement of your goals—there is no cap on commissions!
