US Head of Commercial Underwriting Under the direction of the US Head of Commercial Underwriting, this position will manage a pipeline of new business submissions to achieve Allianz Trade profitability and growth objectives. This role analyzes policy structure and premium rates for new business applications, cultivates relationships with direct sales force agents and broker partners, delivers high-quality customer service, and assesses commercial underwriting risk. Responsibilities
Structure and price new business policies to drive profitability and growth Understand and comply with Group Commercial Rules Interact with Risk Underwriting to maximize approvals for a pipeline of new business applications Manage customer and broker relationships with the Direct Sales Force team Provide the highest levels of customer service to internal and external customers by promptly addressing inquiries, providing accurate information, and offering tailored solutions to meet prospective customers’ needs Quote and negotiate new business transactions in accordance with Allianz Trade pricing and Commercial Underwriting guidelines Support management of the new business pipeline with the Direct Sales Force team Be a principal driver of revenue, growth and profitability Work independently on projects assigned as needed Required Qualifications And Skills
Bachelor’s Degree in business, economics, finance or related discipline Previous trade credit commercial underwriting experience preferred 2-4 years of financial services or underwriting experience Ability to effectively interact with the Direct Sales Force and other departments within Allianz Trade Strong interpersonal and customer service skills Ability to manage multiple priorities Basic awareness of Artificial Intelligence technologies and enthusiasm to learn and integrate AI into everyday business processes (Generative) Artificial Intelligence or GenAI or AI Data Analysis (Microsoft) Copilot ChatGPT Total Compensation
$85,000 - $105,000 Placement within the range provided above is based on the individual’s relevant experience, skills for the role, and location. Salary ranges are only one component of our total compensation package. Benefits
