B Architects , a mid‑sized interior architecture firm in New York City, is currently hiring for a full‑time Designer position, to begin immediately. We are looking for someone who has previous professional experience, excellent design and representation skills, and is familiar with construction documents produced in Autocad.
Interested candidates must offer the following:
A completed architecture or interior design degree from an accredited university or college (B.S, B.Arch, M.Arch)
Three to five years (3‑5) of professional experience.
Excellent design, communication, and presentation skills
Understanding of construction drawings, products, materials, lighting, and furniture.
100% proficiency in AutoCAD and Adobe Creative Suite
Designer essential duties and responsibilities:
Defines program requirements and establishes design parameters based on client requirements and working with the project manager
Creates and develops overall design concepts, schematic, design development and construction documents through detail level; strategizes and leads design presentations
FF&E specifications
Manages the design support staff and coordinates their completion of specific tasks and projects; supports the work of the technical staff.
Collaborates with the team during the implementation of design to ensure clarity and quality of concept is maintained through detail level.
