Role Overview We’re seeking a versatile and strategic writer to lead short and long-form content across The Female Quotient newsletters, social platforms, and video podcast, Broadlines.

With expertise and approachability, The FQ is a trusted authority in advancing a future of work that works for everyone. We educate and inspire through meaningful conversations that are grounded in data and experience, and delivered with warmth and a conversational tone. We create an environment where everyone feels welcome, and with a touch of humor we break down complex issues into approachable, actionable insights, fostering trust and engagement across our global community.

This is a writing position sitting at the intersection of editorial storytelling, brand voice, and cultural conversation. You’ll write everything from sharp social captions and compelling newsletters to thoughtful podcast scripts and show rundowns. You understand how content flexes across formats, and how to make it resonate.

This is more than a copywriting role. It’s editorial, creative, and strategic thought-leadership that powers The Female Quotient’s trusted expertise across content.

Key areas of Responsibility Newsletter

Write and shape our weekly newsletter(s), balancing thought leadership, storytelling, and calls to action.

Collaborate with leadership to translate big ideas into compelling, digestible content

Pitch and develop content themes aligned with cultural moments and company priorities

Be on the pulse of business related news and on The FQ’s social channels, to translate social to long-form in-depth dives, interviews, culturally relevant insights, and thought leadership.

FQ Lounge Daily Newsletter

Own and produce the FQ Daily Newsletter, a real-time dispatch from the FQ Lounge that captures the energy of our events, showcases partners, highlights key moments, and delivers sharp, culturally relevant insights.

Your writing and content drives FOMO, making readers feel like they’re inside the room, part of the conversation, and connected to what’s happening now

Social Copywriting

Write high-performing social captions and scripts across The FQ’s social channels, including LinkedIn, Instagram, and more

Adapt long-form content into short-form, scroll-stopping posts and headlines

Thought leadership articles

Ensure POV and voice consistency while optimizing for engagement

Video Podcast

Script and structure episodes of our original video podcast, Broadlines

Develop talking points, show outlines, and interview frameworks

Craft promotional copy for podcast launches and episode rollouts

Collaborate closely with hosts and production team

Who You Are

5+ years of professional writing experience for a media company

Strong in both short-form and long-form writing

Deep understanding of tone, pacing, and The FQ’s audience

Able to balance speed with quality

Highly collaborative and comfortable working with executives and thought leaders
