
Construction Superintendent

Job Description
This role will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of a construction project on-site, including managing daily operations, coordinating subcontractors, ensuring quality control, maintaining safety standards, and guaranteeing projects are completed on time and within budget, acting as the primary point of contact for all on-site activities.
Key Responsibilities
Subcontractor coordination: Managing and coordinating the work of various subcontractors, ensuring they meet project specifications and deadlines.
Quality control: Performing regular inspections to verify construction quality meets project standards.
Safety oversight: Enforcing safety protocols on-site and addressing any safety concerns.
Site supervision: Directing on-site crews, assigning tasks, and resolving issues that arise during construction.
Material management: Monitoring the delivery and usage of construction materials to maintain project efficiency.
Communication: Maintaining clear communication with project managers, clients, subcontractors, and other stakeholders.
Problem-solving: Identifying and addressing any challenges that may arise during construction.
Documentation: Maintaining detailed project records, including daily logs, progress reports, and inspection reports.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Construction knowledge: Thorough understanding of construction methods, building codes, and safety regulations.
Leadership abilities: Ability to effectively manage and motivate a diverse construction crew.
Problem-solving skills: Capability to quickly assess and resolve issues that arise on-site.
Communication skills: Excellent verbal and written communication to convey information clearly to all stakeholders.
Technical skills: Familiar with Microsoft productivity suite and project management tools.
Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field is preferred or equivalent experience.
Minimum one year experience in the construction industry, preferably with a proven track record in on-site supervision.
