Role Description Camalo Energy Resources is looking for landmen to staff both travel and remote positions, with an emphasis on conducting title research. Compensation is dependent on experience and work quality.
Landmen will be responsible for conducting title and abstract research, negotiating and acquiring leases and rights-of-way, and handling due diligence for energy and land projects. Additional responsibilities include stakeholder communication, records management, GIS mapping, and supporting the planning and execution of land-related negotiations. Collaboration with various teams to address land acquisition challenges and compliance with local, state, and federal regulations is also part of this role.
Qualifications
Knowledge of Title and Abstracting, Lease Negotiation, and Right-of-Way and Easement Acquisition
Experience in Due Diligence, Land Use Planning, and GIS Mapping
Strong communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
Ability to conduct thorough research and analysis to resolve title and ownership issues
Proficiency in land management software and GIS tools
Understanding of energy sectors (e.g., renewable energy, oil and gas, utilities) is preferred
Bachelor’s degree in a related field such as Land Management, Energy Resources, Business, or similar
Willingness to work in a hybrid role that combines in-office and remote work arrangements
Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to adapt to complex projects with multiple stakeholders
