We are seeking a Director, Brokerage Operations to lead, scale, and optimize our freight brokerage operations team. This role is a critical pillar within our organization, focusing on operational excellence, carrier procurement strategy, and full P&L accountability. You will ensure seamless execution and high‑service delivery in an environment that integrates Managed Transportation and Asset Fleet solutions.

Salary:
Your base pay is one part of your total compensation package. We anticipate this role to pay a minimum base salary of $123,800 per year, but actual base pay will depend on the successful candidate’s skills, qualifications, and experience.
Schedule:
Ability to work a flexible schedule to support deadlines or cross‑functional collaboration; typically your schedule will be 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
What You’ll Do: You will provide executive leadership for our brokerage operations, managing performance through objective financial and operational measures.
Leadership & Mentorship:
Lead and develop a results‑oriented operations team, setting clear goals and evaluating progress through defined KPIs.
P&L Accountability:
Own all key metrics associated with the brokerage P&L, including direct profit, gross profit, and operating income %.
Strategy & Growth:
Develop and execute strategic plans to expand carrier brokerage offerings and improve operational quality.
Continuous Improvement:
Drive strategies that result in incremental gains in efficiency and cost savings.
Partnership Management:
Build strategic partnerships with internal departments (Managed Transportation, Asset Fleet) and manage high‑level client and carrier relationships.
Risk Mitigation:
Investigate and analyze transportation‑related claims, including damages and delays, to mitigate risk.
Capacity Procurement:
Support the carrier sales team in identifying capacity trends and market shifts to ensure reliable service for shippers.
What You Bring to the Table:
10+ years in the Supply Chain Logistics and Transportation industry.
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.
Proven ability to develop and lead teams, specifically managing Managers in Carrier Sales, Brokerage Operations, and Account Management.
Demonstrated ability to form positive partnerships with all levels within and outside the organization.
Advanced‑level written and verbal communication skills with an executive‑level mindset.
Strong organizational follow‑through and the ability to break through internal and external obstacles to grow the network.
