Director of Communications

The Director of Communications communicates and represents the district’s programs, processes and perspectives internally and to the public, as designated by the superintendent. The Director oversees the Communications and Community Involvement Department, serves as the district’s public information officer and primary spokesperson, and serves as a key advisor to the superintendent on all matters related to internal and external communications and community involvement. Administrator Role Other 2026-27 annual salary $206,095. The Director of Communications oversees communications and community engagement endeavors, directs the work and manages the staff of the Communications and Community Involvement Department, and advises the superintendent and district leaders on communications. The Director operates with broad autonomy in alignment with the direction of the superintendent or designee. Independent judgement and decision-making is required in matters not having established rules, regulations or policies. The Director has significant influence on the public relations of the district, which directly impacts community support, including financial support, toward the achievement of the district’s goals.
