Our client is hiring a Social Media Strategist to support a portfolio of well-known ice cream and confectionery brands, with a primary focus on developing comprehensive social media playbooks. This role will define how brands show up across social platforms by creating structured frameworks that guide content direction, tone of voice, engagement approach, and platform best practices.
The strategist will be responsible for building playbooks that provide clear guidance on channel roles, content pillars, audience engagement, and content formats across key platforms, with emphasis on Meta channels including Instagram and Facebook. These playbooks will be used by creative and social teams to ensure consistency across campaigns, product launches, seasonal initiatives, and culturally relevant moments.
This role is ideal for someone who has experience translating brand positioning into structured social playbooks that teams can execute against. Strong candidates will understand how to create strategic documentation that drives consistency, improves performance, and supports scalable content development.
Responsibilities:
Build comprehensive social media playbooks that define channel roles, content pillars, tone of voice, and engagement approach
Develop structured frameworks that guide how brands show up across social platforms
Create playbooks that outline best practices for content formats including video, static, reels, stories, and creator content
Develop content strategy frameworks tied to product launches, seasonal moments, and cultural events
Translate brand positioning and consumer insights into clear social direction
Provide clear documentation that creative and social teams can execute against
Define how social content should adapt across different platforms and audience segments
Partner with creative and marketing teams to ensure alignment between strategy and execution
Identify culturally relevant opportunities tied to seasonal campaigns and major events
Ensure playbooks create consistency across campaigns, markets, and content initiatives
Qualifications:
Experience developing social media strategy for consumer-facing brands
Demonstrated experience building social playbooks including content frameworks and tone of voice guidanceStrong understanding of how structured playbooks improve social consistency and performance
MUST HAVE experience supporting food, beverage, confectionery, CPG, or lifestyle brands
Experience translating brand positioning into clear social strategy documentation
Experience collaborating with creative, account, and marketing stakeholders
Strong understanding of social content formats and platform behaviors
Agency or in-house brand experience preferred
Strong written communication skills and ability to present strategic frameworks clearly
