Job Description
The Arts Marketing Content Coordinator is a seasonal member of the Marketing and Communications team, supporting Chautauqua’s Theater and Opera companies through the creation of engaging, brand-aligned content across digital and print channels.
This role is focused on execution — building emails, designing assets and producing social content that brings each production to life. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, visually creative and energized by the performing arts.
About Your Compensation The compensation for this position is $16.00/Hour.
About Your Work Day Email Marketing
Build and deploy email campaigns using Salesforce Marketing Cloud (or similar platforms)
Format content for clarity, accessibility and mobile responsiveness
Collaborate with marketing leads to ensure strong calls-to-action and audience alignment
Social Media Content
Create graphics and write captions for platforms including Instagram and Facebook
Schedule and publish content in alignment with programming and campaign timelines
Monitor engagement and support performance tracking
Design & Creative Support
Develop promotional materials for theater and opera productions (digital ads, flyers, posters) in partnership with the Graphic Design Coordinator
Ensure all materials align with Chautauqua’s brand standards
Assist with updates to digital signage and on-grounds displays
Collaboration & Coordination
Partner with Theater and Opera teams to fulfill marketing requests
Plan and coordinate design and production timelines to ensure all materials are delivered on schedule.
Coordinate with photographers and videographers to support content capture
Work within the Marketing team to meet deadlines and campaign needs
About The Referral Program Chautauqua Institution’s Referral Bonus Program is a talent solution to recruit, develop, and retain a diverse workforce that encompasses all the skills and experience necessary to deliver on our goals and objectives. Chautauqua Institution will provide a $500 referral bonus (less taxes) for active employees referring a new candidate who is hired and remains employed for at least 90-days from the first physical date of work. In the case of seasonal positions working less than 6-months, the new candidate must remain actively employed for at least 30-days from the first physical date of work and until the closing date of the season. The closing date of the season is the last Sunday in August.
About Your Schedule Chautauqua Institution and Chautauqua Hotel Company offer flexible schedules, full and part-time, for seasonal employment during summer operations starting annually each June and concluding in August. Seasonal employment may be available earlier (pre-season) and beyond season (post-season) based on business needs and candidate availability. Schedules typically include evenings, weekends, and/or holidays as a requirement. While you will confirm your final schedule with management at the time of an interview and offer of employment, you should generally anticipate the following schedule options for this position: Will be scheduled to work an average of 35-hours/week. Scheduled hours will include evenings, weekends, and holidays based on business needs.
About Living On The Grounds No employer-provided housing is available for this position. Applicants should plan to secure independent housing or reside within a commutable distance.
