
Distribution Designer

Job Description
Responsible for performing detailed design work, including the preparation of drawings, specifications, and estimates for review and approval by the responsible engineer.
Responsibilities
Possess a thorough knowledge of practices and procedures in areas such as Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation and Control, Protective Relaying, Transmission Design, Substation Design, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Distribution Engineering, Surveying, GIS and Mapping, and CADD.
Perform design-related duties with minimal supervision, including preparing manual or computer-assisted design and construction drawings of a complex nature with neatness and minimal errors.
Provide design services that require a full understanding of drawings, specifications, and industry standards.
Participate in the preparation of cost estimates, specifications, evaluations, and requisitions.
Assist in the preparation of engineering calculations.
Coordinate equipment deliveries and design development to meet project schedules.
Acquire on‑site field data to accomplish the design or to monitor and evaluate equipment performance.
Essential Skills
Proficiency in Autocad, Design, Distribution design, Power distribution, and Drafting.
Experience in Field Data Collection and Analysis.
Some utility design experience is preferred.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Associate or Bachelor's Degree in a environmental or technical field preferred.
0-1 year of experience
Demonstrated leadership and technical capability to perform job duties.
Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of North Canton, OH.
Pay And Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $23.00/hr.
