Sr. National Account Manager, General Contractors

The Sr. National Account Manager, General Contractors will be responsible for developing, managing, and expanding strategic relationships with national general contractors. This role will focus on driving significant revenue growth, ensuring customer satisfaction, and positioning the company as a trusted partner across large-scale, multi-site construction projects. Responsibilities: Build and expand long term strategic relationships with key national general contractors across multiple regions. Develop and implement strategic account plans that align with company objectives and drive construction related sales growth. Identify new project opportunities and proactively position the company's solutions during the pre-construction and bid phases. Monitor account performance, pipeline, and market activity. Provide actionable insights to maximize revenue and margin. Partner with internal teams (sales, engineering, project management, and service) to support complex opportunities and ensure seamless execution of projects. Serve as the primary point of escalation for contractor-related issues, ensuring timely and effective resolution. Support contract negotiations by serving as a liaison between the national general contractors and the Vertiv legal team. Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and contractor meetings to strengthen visibility and reputation. Mentor and collaborate with regional sales teams to ensure consistent contractor engagement and execution across markets. Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree required, or equivalent combination of education and experience. 10+ years of successful experience in contractor management, sales, or related field. Advanced knowledge of contractor sales strategies, partner management, and account planning. Proven track record of successfully managing contractor relationships and driving revenue growth. Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights. Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills. Strategic thinker with strong problem-solving capabilities. Ability to work independently and lead initiatives with minimal supervision. Physical & Environmental Demands: Frequent driving and travel to contractor offices, job sites, and industry events.
