Under the direction of the Senior Manager, Loan Servicing, the Loan Servicing Specialist is accountable for the accurate and timely processing of Conventional, FHA and VA loan payments and servicing of loan requests as received. Perform all duties in accordance with the company’s policies and procedures, all U.S. state and federal laws and regulations.
Monitor company database for closed loan status updates and/or loan purchase;
Use company database to notate loan payment activity and other status updates;
Send transfer of loan servicing notifications to borrowers;
Responds to the day-to-day loan servicing needs and oversees the verification and acceptance of payments, printing and mailing requested statements, processing payoff demands and other required documents;
Responsible for the reconciliation and payments of all escrowed items including property taxes, homeowners insurance premiums and mortgage insurance premiums to proper localities/ agencies;
Endorse checks and forward or wire loan payments / curtailments to new investors as appropriate;
Transfer servicing for all sold loans within the time frame requirements;
Handle customer service inquiries timely which include, Mortgage Consultants, borrowers and servicers;
Respond and maintain email communication in a timely manner within the department email box;
Other duties as assigned.

High School Diploma or equivalent
2 years’ experience
High degree of attention to detail
Excellent customer service with internal employees and external investors
Previous experience in mortgage banking industry desired
Working knowledge of LOS system, preferably Encompass, Excel & pivot tables, etc.
Ability to work in a high pace environment;
Flexible hours may be required;
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
