In support of this goal, we are looking for a Surgical Product Specialist to support our Southeast territory.
Primary Purpose The Surgical Product Specialist position drives revenue by creating and implementing a sales strategy that will meet or exceed company goals for profitable revenue growth. The Surgical Product Specialist is responsible for the identification, development, and growth of new and existing corneal surgeon accounts in assigned region(s) across the United States.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Direct sales aspects for the EndoSerter® Corneal Endothelial Delivery instrument, Geuder Pre-Load for DMEK and maximize placement of cornea tissue products.
Set appointments and facilitate meetings and presentations with prospective users of tissue and devices.
Maximize and protect profit margin and reputation by expertly communicating the value proposition of the Company’s products and services.
Educate and train surgeons during corneal transplant procedures in the OR and ASC environment.
Keep all relevant data up-‐to-‐date in CRM on a daily basis.
Provide sales, pipeline and projections data to the leadership team on a regular basis.
Partner with leadership team to define realistic sales goals and implement strategy to meet defined goals.
Partner with leadership team to define, enhance and implement sales reporting structure and tools.
Assist in hiring, training and development for current and future sales support personnel including but not limited to inside sales, sales associates, and independent representatives.
Work independently, performing a wide range of sales functions from prospecting to presenting to closing.
Participate in trade shows and assist with preparation of marketing collateral and coordination of shows, displays and speaker presentations.
Maintain vendor representative credentials to ensure access to facilities.
Partner with internal sales associates to complete all facility review and approval requirements for device sales.
Tissue
Define and implement a comprehensive tissue placement strategy/program working within parameters established jointly with the leadership team.
Advocate for and assist in identifying and opening new opportunities for tissue services (DSEK, DMEK, PK & CTAK).
Prospect and develop new client relationships. Prioritize CTAK to develop new business utilizing complete line of Devices & Tissue Services.
Provide input and guidance to company resources ensuring there is an adequate level of understanding of products and services.
Partner with leadership team to enhance reporting tools.
Keep all relevant data up-‐to-‐date in CRM on a daily basis.
Participate in trade shows and assist with preparation of marketing collateral and coordination of shows, displays and speaker presentations.
Maintain vendor representative credentials to ensure access to facilities.
Partner with internal sales associates to complete all facility review and approval requirements for tissue services.

Qualified applicants must be 21 years of age or older, have a valid driver's license, and be eligible to meet our company driving standards.
Education and/or Equivalent Experience
Bachelor’s degree in business administration or related field
At least five years progressively responsible experience in a sales management capacity
Ophthalmic and/or Operating Room sales experience preferred with proven track record of performance
Compensation and Benefits The minimum base annual salary for this position is $100,000 and the maximum annual salary is $120,000. Individual compensation will vary within this range based on a candidate’s skills, qualifications, and experience as they relate to the requirements of the role. This position is also eligible to participate in the company’s sales incentive plan with an on-target total earning of up to$160,000.
