Talascend is currently seeking an
IT/OT Solutions Specialist
for a contract opportunity with our client in
New Orleans, Louisiana .
Overview The IT/OT Solutions Specialist is a professional who bridges the gap between information technology and operational technology within the manufacturing industry. They design, implement, and manage integrated IT and OT solutions to optimize business processes and ensure the smooth operation of industrial systems.
Responsibilities
Specifying, designing, and implementing IT and OT solutions, ensuring they integrate seamlessly with existing systems.
Maintaining and troubleshooting IT and OT infrastructure, including hardware, networks, and communication systems.
Identifying and resolving issues related to IT and OT systems, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal performance.
Implementing and maintaining security measures for both IT and OT environments, protecting against cyber threats.
Ensuring that IT and OT systems comply with relevant standards and regulations.
Working with various teams, including IT, OT, engineering, and business stakeholders, to ensure alignment and successful project delivery.
Proficiency in IT and OT technologies, including network administration, cybersecurity, and industrial automation.
Analyzing complex issues, developing solutions, and implementing them effectively.
Communicating effectively and collaborating with diverse teams and stakeholders.
Adapting to changing circumstances and learning new technologies.
Gaining familiarity with industrial settings, including safety protocols and operational requirements.
Qualifications
3-5 years in a similar role, specifically in a manufacturing environment
Associate's or bachelor's degree in information systems or similar
Experience in SCADA systems, PLC connectivity, or implementation of industrial automation solutions will be highly valued
