Edged has an exciting opportunity for a Compliance Specialist. In this position you will work directly with site operations and IT to manage and oversee the business continuity functions and the internal audit functions within our data center operations in NA. The candidate will play a key role in ensuring that our data center complies with industry standards, legal regulations and customer requirements with a particular focus on SCO 2, ISO 27001 and PCI DSS certification. The Compliance Specialist is responsible for developing and operate the company's business continuity program and internal audit program to safeguard our operations, assets, and compliance with regulations. The candidate must be a highly motivated and result driven.

The Compliance Specialist needs to be an agile, team-focused individual, with proven professionalism, who is comfortable in a rapidly changing environment. Key Responsibilities Include but are not limited to: Internal Audit:

Develop, plan, coordinate, and execute internal audits to assess the design and operational effectiveness of controls related to SOC 2 (Security, Availability, Confidentiality, Processing Integrity, Privacy Trust Services Criteria) and ISO 27001 standards.

Assess the design and operating effectiveness of internal controls, identifying potential risks, weaknesses, and inefficiencies.

Stay informed of evolving compliance standards, legal requirements, and industry best practices, ensuring the data center meets all applicable guidelines.

Identify gaps or deficiencies during internal audits, analyze root causes, and work with cross-functional teams (IT, HR, Operations, Legal) to develop remediation plans and corrective actions.

Review and approve remediation of internal and external audit findings.

Drive continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing the quality, efficiency, and compliance of data center operations.

Recommend process improvements and operational changes based on audit findings and industry developments.

Skills & Requirements Education / Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.

Minimum of

3 years

of experience in a compliance, quality assurance, or business continuity role, preferably within a data center or IT infrastructure environment.

In-depth knowledge of

SOC 2 ,

ISO 27001 ,

PCI DSS , and other relevant compliance frameworks.

Plus if candidate has prior audit experience and knowledge of ISO 14000, 14064, 20000, 27000, 45000, 22301, 5000 and HIPPA.

Demonstrated understanding of fact-based decision-making and analytical processes related to quality management and process improvement.

Specific Skills / Abilities

Special skill in anticipating and preventing problems is required.

Able to design and implement control procedures for critical processes.

Critical thinker.

Excellent judgment and problem solving skills are essential.

Able to grasp ambiguous problems and organize them into a structured plan.

Ability to initiate, lead and follow a project to completion.

Knowledge on product and process costing and calculating cost savings.

Computer, written, verbal, presentation, and negotiation are required.

Excellent interpersonal skills required to support working with people at various levels.

Have knowledge and understanding of quality sciences and quality systems.

Drive a culture of process improvement using tools like Six Sigma, Lean and Kaizen.

Drive standardization practices and ensure strict compliance in internal and client defined processes.
