Josh Riley for Congress is seeking a Field Director to oversee the campaign's direct voter contact program in one of the most competitive Congressional races in the country. This is a full-time position based in Ithaca, NY. Josh grew up in a working-class neighborhood and saw his community struggle as factories closed down. His roots there have guided his career, including civil rights work for kids from low-income families who needed healthcare, serving as counsel on the U.S. Senate Judiciary Committee where he fought the opioid epidemic, and briefing in the U.S. Supreme Court. Responsibilities
Developing and implementing an aggressive field plan Recruiting, training and managing a team of 5+ staff Monitoring progress to goal and troubleshooting problems when necessary Building and maintaining political relationships with community leaders Communicating needs to the campaign manager and the rest of the team Ensuring data integrity Desired Qualifications
Have several cycles of field experience, including in management roles Have a passion for progressive politics and the power of political organizing Have a deep understanding of vote by mail and early voting programs Be adaptable and willing to change plans on the fly Be highly organized with an ability to manage multiple ongoing projects Be willing and able to work long hours including nights and weekends on a regular basis Job Details
Salary: $5,500 - $6,500 per month, commensurate with experience Location: Ithaca, NY Start Date: ASAP Hours: The position's schedule will vary based on the day to day needs of the campaign. It will require regular evening and weekend work over the course of the election cycle.
