A bit about us We are in search of a Permanent Multifamily Estimator to join our dynamic team in the construction industry. This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned professional who is experienced in commercial, ground up, mixed use, multifamily, remodel, renovation, multi-family, and estimating. The successful candidate will be instrumental in contributing to our growth and success, bringing a minimum of 5 years of experience to the table. This role requires an individual with a keen eye for detail, a robust understanding of construction processes, and a passion for delivering high-quality work on time and within budget.

Responsibilities
Prepare detailed cost estimates for multifamily and mixed-use construction projects, including ground-up, remodel, and renovation projects.
Analyze blueprints, specifications, proposals, and other documentation to prepare time, cost, and labor estimates for projects or services.
Conduct special studies to develop and establish standard hour and related cost data or effect cost reductions.
Consult with clients, vendors, personnel in other departments, or construction foremen to discuss and formulate estimates and resolve issues.
Review material and labor requirements to decide whether it is more cost-effective to produce or purchase components.
Prepare and maintain a directory of suppliers, contractors, and subcontractors.
Set up cost monitoring and reporting systems and procedures.
Establish and maintain tendering process, and conduct negotiations.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field.
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in construction estimating, specifically with commercial, ground up, mixed use, multifamily, remodel, and renovation projects.
Proficient with estimating software and spreadsheet software.
Excellent knowledge of construction materials and equipment.
Previous experience in a supervisory capacity is a plus.
Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to read and understand construction drawings and specifications.
Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team or independently with minimal oversight.
