A top-rated ABC affiliate in Albuquerque, New Mexico is hiring a Digital Content Editor to run content across the station's website, app, and social media channels. This is a fast-paced newsroom role where the editor owns the digital side of breaking news, daily coverage, sports, weather, and features. The position reports to the Digital Content Manager. This is a strong fit for someone who thrives under deadline pressure, has sharp editorial instincts, and knows how to write headlines that get clicks without sacrificing accuracy. The ideal candidate is comfortable managing live streams, juggling multiple platforms, and collaborating closely with reporters, producers, and assignment editors. What the Role Covers Writing, editing, and publishing breaking news, daily stories, sports, weather, and features for the station's website, mobile app, and social media pages Hitting daily posting minimums for web content, social video, push alerts, and graphics Writing compelling headlines and push notifications that drive engagement Coordinating with reporters and assignment editors to get content posted quickly Working across teams (producers, assignment editors, managers) to ensure content is promoted on all platforms Managing live streams for newscasts and breaking news events Contributing ideas to grow the station's digital audience and platforms Qualifications Previous experience in digital news editing or a similar role Professional experience with non-linear editing software (Adobe Premiere or equivalent) Strong news and editorial judgment Familiarity with social media best practices and platform-specific content strategies Flexibility to work varied shifts, weekends, and holidays to support a 24-hour news cycle Ability to work well in a high-interruption newsroom environment Related military experience is welcome Medical, dental, and vision insurance. 401(k) with matching.
