Role Overview
CVS Media Exchange is hiring an Industry Manager (Director of Sales) for the Pharma sales team. This role will report to the Head of Sales.
CMX is dedicated to driving measurable outcomes for our suppliers, merchants, stores, GMs, brand advertisers, and agencies. Our full‑funnel ad solutions leverage CVS’s in‑store and online data and extensive reach to provide measurable results.

Responsibilities
Creates sales strategy and builds a culture of collaboration to achieve industry‑wide sales targets within the annual operating plan.
Develops a sales strategy for Pharma with a minimum sales target of around $30M+; finalizes revenue targets for each account with partner managers based on past trend analysis.
Recommends broad approaches and areas of opportunities to meet the targets and long‑range plans to senior leadership, highlighting concerns or bottlenecks.
Understands industry strategy across other departments including trade, legal, marketing, eCommerce marketing, product, strategy, and in‑store.
Partners with internal and external stakeholders including trade heads, general managers, senior partners of manufacturers, agencies, and marketers to drive the business forward.
Leads by example by providing direction and guidance to associates on best‑in‑class approach to all of CMX’s offerings.
Oversees financial results in the area of responsibility by building action plans to achieve annual objectives across various groups.
Drives a cross‑team/functional workstream, tracks key performance metrics, and creates a playbook for the industry.
Provides overall direction by analyzing business objectives and customer needs, developing plans, and implementing strategies.
Measures outcomes to ensure desired results, identifies opportunities for improvement, and promotes a customer‑centric environment.
Develops and implements strategies to attract and retain a highly skilled and engaged workforce, supporting mentorship and succession planning.
Cultivates an environment of integrity and ethics, integrating values into all programs and practices.
Leverages internal and external partnerships and networks to maximize business goals, sponsoring key community outreach initiatives.
Owns strategic high‑level relationships within the Pharma space, leveraging CMX’s omni‑channel solutions for Pharma brands and manufacturers.
Required Qualifications
10+ years’ experience in advertising sales, advertising, or related fields, with 3+ years selling advertising in the Pharma space.
3+ years’ experience managing high‑performing media sales teams and a strong portfolio of relationships within the Pharma space.
Experience with retail media or retail/eCommerce agency experience.
Preferred Qualifications
Prior retail media network, Pharma sales, eCommerce sales, and/or retail advertising sales experience.
Experience in brand advertising, media sales, customer acquisition, and in‑store (digital screens, audio).
Pharma team lead management experience.
Excellent communication skills articulated in written and verbal forms across a diverse audience base.
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Advertising, Consumer Psychology, or equivalent (HS Diploma and 4 years of experience) is required. Masters degree preferred.
Work Schedules and Compensation
Anticipated Weekly Hours: 40
Time Type: Full time
Pay Range: $105,000.00 – $231,132.00 (base salary)
