Position Summary
The Commercial Lines Account Manager is responsible for managing the full lifecycle of commercial insurance policies, including quoting, binding, servicing, and participating in the claims rotation. This role plays a critical part in delivering exceptional client service, maintaining operational efficiency, and supporting client retention. Success in this position requires strong attention to detail, in-depth product knowledge, and a proactive, client-focused approach.
Key Responsibilities
Manage policy changes, endorsements, billing inquiries, and renewal processes.
Maintain accurate records and documentation in the agency management system.
Collaborate with producers during renewal cycles to gather updated client information and ensure all policy changes are properly reflected.
Quoting & Binding
Quote commercial lines risks using carrier rating systems and comparative raters.
Evaluate coverage options and present tailored recommendations based on client needs.
Bind policies and ensure all documentation is accurate and processed in a timely manner.
Claims Support
Participate in the claims rotation by assisting clients with reporting and navigating claims.
Serve as a liaison between clients and carriers throughout the claims process.
Monitor claim progress and follow up to ensure timely resolution and continued client communication.
Client Relationship Management
Deliver responsive, knowledgeable, and high-quality service to build and maintain strong client relationships.
Act as a trusted advisor for commercial insurance needs and coverage explanations.
Partner with underwriters and carriers to advocate for client needs when necessary.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate or Bachelor's degree preferred
Active Missouri Property & Casualty license required
Comprehensive knowledge of commercial property and casualty insurance coverages and carrier products
Experience with agency management systems (Applied Epic preferred), and Microsoft Office Suite
Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment
High level of attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
Customer-focused mindset with a proactive, solution-oriented approach
Ability to successfully pass a criminal background check, as permitted by law

Monday-Friday, 8:30am-5:00pm
