The UNM Bookstores are seeking a proactive and creative student to contribute to the success of their marketing initiatives. Reporting directly to the Sr. Marketing Representative, the Marketing Assistant will play an integral role in advancing the bookstores’ marketing efforts.
Responsibilities include maintaining and updating the retail website content to ensure accuracy, functionality, and a positive user experience. This includes making edits to text, images, and page layouts, as well as supporting the creation of new webpages for promotions, products, and campaigns. Basic knowledge of HTML is required to assist with formatting and troubleshooting content within the site.
This role also involves collaborating with the marketing team to ensure website content aligns with current campaigns and branding. The Marketing Assistant will help identify areas for improvement, and ensure all pages are up to date and visually consistent.
The ideal candidate is an enthusiastic student with a strong work ethic who is detail‑oriented and enjoys working in a team environment. Candidates should have a foundational understanding of website management, basic HTML skills, and an interest in digital marketing and user experience.

Preferred Qualifications
Enrolled in a degree‑seeking program at UNM.
Enrolled at least half‑time (6 hours) at UNM for fall and spring semesters (audit hours do not count), and if Work Study, you must meet Satisfactory Academic Progress.
Experience using Adobe Photoshop to edit product pictures.
Experience with website management.
Experience with marketing and communications.
Strong oral and written communication skills.
Project management skills.
Availability of up to 20 hours per week during regular business hours.
