
Marketing Intern, Stuyvesant Plaza

WS Development is looking for a part time Marketing Intern to work on behalf of Stuyvesant Plaza Retail LLC from June 1– December 19, 2026. This position will work closely with the Marketing Manager. The intern will support the planning, execution, and performance tracking of integrated marketing initiatives by contributing to content creation, audience engagement, and data management efforts, while gaining hands‑on experience in driving foot traffic and community engagement for a retail destination.
Position: Part‑time Marketing Intern
Schedule: 15 hours per week (three 5‑hour shifts). Some weekends are required.
This position requires the intern to work in the office at Stuyvesant Plaza, located in Albany, NY during work hours; this is not a remote position.
Intern Responsibilities & Support Tactics
Events & Activations
On‑site support during events including set‑up, breakdown, and event amenity staffing
Supporting event promotion via digital platforms, and cross‑platform exports
Paid Media
Copywriting Google Ads headlines and identifying key promotional moments
Coordinating delivery of paid media advertisements to partners
Earned Media
Supporting press announcement execution in partnership with PR agency
Expanding the Community Contact sheet with influencers and community groups
Owned Media
Supporting social media content (posts, stories) in partnership with content partner and monitor trends to inform strategy
Supporting email marketing initiatives, including drafting and execution
Maintaining and update website content, including landing pages for brand collaborations, retail moments, and community news
Conducting regular property walks to identify opportunities for improvement
Assisting with event and partnership logistics (supply drop‑offs, signage, etc.)
Creating marketing and operational signage/maps
Requirements
Student with interest in retail, event planning + management, marketing, and social media.
Must be available from June 1 – December 19, 2026, including some weekends.
Strong oral, written, organizational, interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and social media channels (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok).
Proficiency in marketing‑based tools is a plus (i.e. Canva, WordPress, Klaviyo) but not required.
Strong experience in content creation including but, not limited to reels, video, and photography editing tools.
The expected pay rate for this position is $18.00 per hour. Actual compensation will be based on factors such as skills, qualifications, experience, and location. This role is also eligible to participate in our annual bonus program.
