Motion Recruitment is hiring: User Experience Designer in San Diego

Our client, a leader in financial tax software, is looking to hire a UX/UI Designer. This is a hybrid role that will be onsite 3x a week in San Diego, CA.

*This job is a 6-month W2 contract role with benefits & paid holidays!*

As a UX/UI Designer, you will lead the experience design of a telemetry platform that allows leadership to review client workflows and AI interactions asynchronously. You will be responsible for designing complex, data-heavy internal tools that require both deep systems thinking and a high-end visual execution.

Responsibilities

• Drive end-to-end UX design experiences for internal tools, prioritizing clarity and efficiency for high-proficiency power users
• Craft a vision for great customer experiences and inspire cross-functional partners to get behind that vision
• Execute strong visual design with an exceptional level of craft and polish in interaction, visual, and motion design
• Translate complex data into clean, functional interfaces and actionable business insights
• Partner with Design Technologists and Engineering to ensure integrity and bridge the gap between requirements and technical constraints

Required Skills & Experience

• 5+ years of UX/UI, Interaction and/or Product Design experience
• Experience navigating ambiguous end-to-end SaaS products, working in an environment of experimentation and rapid testing
• Working knowledge of designing using Figma, FigJam, & the Adobe Creative Suite
• Demonstrated experience using AI for streamlining design workflows

Desired Skills & Experience

• Bachelor's Degree in Human-Computer Interaction, Service Design, Interaction Design, Industrial Design
• Expertise in Data Visualization, specifically in designing dashboards that translate complex data into clear, actionable business insights
• Experience in the motion design, media, animation, video, streaming sectors, or media asset management highly preferred!
