Our firm is partnering with a well-established organization in the residential housing and property management industry to recruit a Leasing Agent. This role is ideal for a customer-focused professional who enjoys working with people, supporting leasing operations, and contributing to strong occupancy performance across multiple residential communities.
The Leasing Agent plays a key role in guiding prospective residents through the leasing journey—from initial inquiry to move-in—while collaborating closely with leasing and operational teams to ensure a smooth and compliant process.
Job Description
The Leasing Agent supports daily leasing activities and move-in processes for multiple residential locations. This position is responsible for delivering an excellent prospect and resident experience while maintaining accurate records and meeting occupancy goals.
Key Responsibilities Include
Conducting tours of homes and communities for prospective residents Managing phone, email, and walk-in inquiries using property management software Tracking, pursuing, and processing leasing leads in a timely manner Preparing and processing rental applications and lease documentation Maintaining interest lists and waitlists for assigned communities Ensuring compliance with all federal, state, and local Fair Housing regulations Supporting lease-up activities at newly developed properties Providing backup support to other leasing team members as needed Working weekends or holidays as business needs require Performing additional duties as assigned
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent Strong customer service and communication skills Excellent organizational and time management abilities Attention to detail with the ability to maintain accurate records Ability to work independently and as part of a team Comfort using and learning technology platforms and leasing software Willingness to work weekends or holidays as needed
Preferred Qualifications:
Prior experience in sales, leasing, or a customer-facing role Experience in residential property management or housing environments Familiarity with Fair Housing guidelines and leasing best practices
