This entry-level, non-sworn position contributes to the work of the Savage Police Department by performing various law enforcement support functions. This is a part‑time, uniformed position working up to 29 hours per week.
Job Duties
Assist sworn and civilian Police Department staff as assigned.
Maintain effective community relations and represent the City with the community.
Deliver and retrieve packages, evidence, forfeited items, court documents, etc.
Investigate non‑crime ordinance violations.
Assist with minor traffic matters, including assisting motorists, and monitoring traffic law compliance in assigned areas.
Perform some administrative support tasks including filing, data entry, data retrieval, telephone answering, and other duties as assigned.
