About the Role
Ashley Furniture seeks a senior
Transformation Portfolio Lead
to drive execution of high-priority enterprise transformation initiatives. Reporting to the SVP of Transformation, you'll operate at the intersection of strategy and execution, translating ambiguous direction into actionable plans and ensuring disciplined delivery with measurable business impact. Key Responsibilities Portfolio & Program Delivery Lead execution of complex, cross-functional transformation initiatives aligned to enterprise strategy Translate strategic objectives into executable roadmaps with defined milestones and success metrics Proactively identify and resolve risks, issues, and dependencies across interdependent initiatives Strategy Shaping & Executive Partnership Frame executive decision-making by developing clear options, implications, and recommendations Structure ambiguous strategic problems into actionable plans and delivery roadmaps Facilitate working sessions with senior leaders to clarify objectives and tradeoffs Pressure-test strategic direction through execution insights Project Execution Own end-to-end project management from initiation through delivery and stabilization Maintain integrated project plans, timelines, risk logs, and dependency maps Drive disciplined execution while adapting approaches to initiative complexity Stakeholder Engagement Prepare executive-level recommendations and decision materials for governance forums Serve as trusted partner to executive sponsors and initiative owners Facilitate milestone reviews and problem-solving discussions with cross-functional teams Required Qualifications Education Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Operations, Finance, or related field MBA or advanced degree preferred Experience 7+ years in project, program, or transformation delivery roles (10+ years preferred) Proven track record leading complex, cross-functional initiatives in large, matrixed organizations Direct experience working with senior leaders and executive stakeholders Ability to manage multiple competing priorities simultaneously Preferred Background (one or more): Management consulting at Engagement Manager/Project Leader level PMO/Transformation Office leadership at large enterprise Private equity, value creation, or portfolio operations experience Core Competencies Strategic thinking with strong execution discipline Ability to structure ambiguous problems and drive clarity Financial modeling skills for impact analysis and tradeoff assessment Portfolio-level thinking across interdependent initiatives Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills Executive-level written and verbal communication
