Job Summary:
The
Contract Specialist - IT Software
is responsible for managing the full lifecycle of IT software contracts, including solicitation, negotiation, award, and post-award administration. This role focuses on procurement execution, stakeholder engagement, and ensuring compliance while optimizing cost and contract performance.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead solicitation, negotiation, award, and administration of
IT software contracts
Execute procurement activities supporting IT software initiatives
Negotiate agreements including Master Agreements, SOWs, NDAs, and POCs
Manage post-execution contract administration and invoice resolution
Conduct RFPs using approved sourcing tools
Drive process improvements to enhance contracting efficiency
Manage multiple contract assignments with strong stakeholder engagement
Mitigate procurement risks while optimizing total cost of ownership
Maintain contract documentation in accordance with retention policies
Support audit activities and ensure compliance with legal requirements
Collaborate with Legal to ensure adherence to contract standards and regulations
Required Experience:
Bachelors degree
Minimum of
10 years of experience
negotiating IT software contracts
Strong experience with contract types including Masters, SOWs, NDAs, and POCs
Proven ability to manage end-to-end procurement and contract lifecycle
Strong stakeholder management and negotiation skills
Nice-to-Have Experience:
Procurement experience in the energy industry
Experience with SAP and Icertis
Knowledge of IT software buying channels (OEM, resellers, etc.)
