Picqer is hiring: Video Content Creator in Danbury
Picqer, Danbury, CT, United States
Video Content Creator
We are looking for a video content creator who is responsible for all video at Picqer. From customer stories in warehouses to explanations about our product and conversations with people from our team. You will ensure that our stories are accurate, visually strong, and align with who we are as a brand.
Video is your main medium, but you think beyond that. You understand which story needs to be told, for whom, and how a video fits into the overall marketing strategy. Not as an executor who completes a brief, but as someone who understands what we are saying and why.
We are looking for someone with several years of experience who can independently manage the entire process.
The role is for 32 to 36 hours per week.
About Picqer
Picqer is warehouse software for online stores. We create amazing software that enables online stores and fulfillment companies to run their warehouses professionally. We have intensive contact with users and try to make their work as fun and easy as possible.
We have been around for 13 years, growing rapidly and processing 10% of all Dutch online store orders. We do this with a team of 25 people where everyone has a lot of responsibility and freedom.
A Glimpse Inside
We would love to show you who we are and how we work:
Marketing at Picqer
We want to be the logical choice for growing online stores, even before they actively look for warehouse software. We do this by sharing knowledge, letting customers tell their stories, and making it clear what we stand for.
No shouty campaigns. We choose quality, consistency, and content. Video is for us the means to bring together knowledge, evidence, and feeling.
What You Will Do
You will create videos within three types of stories:
Warehouse Running Educational content for online stores that want to organize their processes more efficiently. Customer cases, practical explanations, and concrete tips. These are also the videos where customers tell how they have grown with Picqer.
Product Explanation videos that show how something works and why it works that way. Picqer has a clear vision of how a warehouse should work, and every feature fits into that. That story you will tell.
Vision Picqer has an opinion on how software for warehouses should work. We like to share this opinion. In these videos, you will engage in conversation with people from our team: about the choices we make, things we do differently than the rest, and why.
From idea to launch, you will have it in your hands. You write the script, stand behind the camera, edit, and make sure it goes out into the world. If photography better suits a story, you can do that just as easily. Team members think along with the idea and script. The execution and final quality are your responsibility.
We have our own studio and good equipment, so you can focus on the story, not on whether the resources are there.
You are usually behind the camera, and it is a plus if you are not afraid to stand in front of the camera yourself when it works better. Other times you put a colleague or customer in the center. We build Picqer as a brand, not one fixed face.
You help colleagues to stand well in front of the camera and make sure what we make is consistent and recognizable.
What We Are Looking For
You think from the story. A beautiful video is not enough. If the story is not right, the video is not finished. You understand for whom you make something and why.
You can explain software. You clearly explain how Picqer works and what value it offers, so the viewer is inspired and sees what Picqer can do for them. You see this reflected in your scripts and editing.
You are comfortable in a warehouse. You find it interesting to talk to entrepreneurs about processes and growth. You ask questions until you really understand.
You work independently. You monitor your own schedule, set priorities, and take responsibility for the end result. You do not need a briefing to understand what needs to be told.
You understand marketing. You understand how video contributes to trust and recognition in the long term. Not chasing trends, but building a consistent brand story.
Experience with recording and editing podcasts is a plus.
Not the Right Role for You If...
- You get your energy from publishing a lot instead of publishing well.
- You value creative freedom more than making sure the story is right.
- You prefer working in the chaos of fast campaigns rather than in an environment where you can quietly do your best work.
What We Offer You
At Picqer, you work together in a close-knit team. Together we work on a top product for satisfied customers. We do this in an open and transparent environment.
- A friendly and growing team that wants to make the best warehouse software
- A good salary according to our fixed salary formula, so no need to negotiate (for this role: 4,550 5,900 gross per month based on 36 hours)
- Travel expenses reimbursement and pension contribution
- A personal training budget to fill out yourself (5,000 euros per year)
- The best tools to make your work as enjoyable as possible (such as a MacBook Pro, large screen, sit/stand desk, and a good chair), both at the office and at home
- Continuous 1-on-1 coaching and feedback to ensure you become the best version of yourself
- You can work remotely, but for this role, it is valuable to be regularly in the office in Arnhem. This way, you better understand what is happening in the team and the company.
- Daily lunch at the office, endless coffee, tea, and soft drinks
Apply
