Duties
- Knowledge of Army levels of integration.
- Knowledge of the Army Doctrine, Organization, Training, Materiel, Leadership and education, Personnel and Facilities (DOTMLPF) requirements as it applies to Formation Based Layered Protection and Army Warfighting Functions and Systems.
- Recommending long-range planning initiatives that determine how future forces will operate and ensure readiness.
- Assess employee training requirements and provide guidance on technical and administrative issues.

- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- This position requires a Secret Security Clearance.
- The work requires the incumbent to spend time in a field environment to observe and evaluate testing, training and demonstrations of chartered systems and future technology demonstrations.
- Field work is performed in all types of weather conditions and may require the incumbent to wear various types of personal protective equipment and clothing.
- The work of this position requires travel over 20% of the time. Some travel may be required outside of the United States and may even be to a theater of combat operations. Some travel may be required on extremely short notice.
- The work of this position may, on occasion, exceed the normal 8-hour workday and cause short notice overtime requirements.
- Incumbent must file a statement of employment and financial interest as required by AR 600-50.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Specialized Experience:One year of specialized experience which includes: 1) Providing guidance and support on Large Scale Combat Operations to inform Transformation in Contact, Deliberate, and Concept driven transformation; 2) Assisting in Developing Courses of Action for senior leadership to inform the organizations and Combined Arms Center in Transformation in Contact; 3) Supporting multi-component military and civilian professionals in experimentation efforts that inform senior leaders on current and future force capabilities; 4) Identifying training needs of employees, providing guidance on technical and administrative matters. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-13). You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-13).
