The Director of Pricing will lead the development and execution of a disciplined, data-driven pricing strategy to support margin expansion and EBITDA growth. This role is critical in a private equity–backed environment, driving price realization, cost recovery, and pricing governance across a high-volume, SKU-intensive distribution model. The ideal candidate brings a combination of analytical rigor, commercial acumen, and operational execution, with proven success managing pricing in complex distribution environments. FSLA Classification Exempt Reports to Chief Financial Officer Essential Job Duties Own enterprise pricing strategy across a large, multi-thousand SKU portfolio Drive price realization and gross margin expansion with accountability to EBITDA Lead structured pass-through of cost increases (freight, tariffs, supplier pricing) Develop pricing governance frameworks including discount controls and approvals Build SKU-level profitability analytics and pricing waterfalls Partner with Sales, Supply Chain, and Finance Deliver data-driven insights to executive leadership and PE stakeholders Enhance pricing systems, data infrastructure, and reporting Basic Qualifications 8–12+ years in pricing, commercial finance, or revenue management Experience in high-volume, SKU-intensive distribution environments Proven ability to pass through cost increases while protecting margins Advanced Excel and data modeling skills Experience with pricing governance frameworks Strong cross-functional leadership and communication skills Execution-oriented leadership style Key Performance Indicators Gross margin expansion (bps improvement year-over-year) Price realization rate (% of cost increases successfully passed through) EBITDA contribution from pricing initiatives Reduction in margin leakage (identified vs. captured) Pricing compliance rate (adherence to pricing governance and discount thresholds) SKU-level margin visibility (% of portfolio with actionable analytics) Speed of price implementation (cycle time from cost change to customer pricing update) Sales alignment metrics (win rate / volume retention post price changes) Location & Commitments Full-time Reports to office in Rosemont, Illinois Work Schedule: 4 days in office, 1 day remote Benefits: We offer competitive benefits: 2 medical plan offering with generous employer contributions, 100% employer paid dental, and vision for employees, and 401k with company match.
