Exempt, Full Time Summary: The Re-entry Support Services Director will provide direct leadership and supervision of peer- and community-based re-entry support programming and services delivered by peer recovery support specialist staff working within re-entry initiatives at Unity Recovery. The RSPD will help expand peer-led reentry supports for justice-involved residents of Allegheny County by creating a collaborative referral and engagement bridge with Adult Probation to help probationers stay engaged in services.The RSPD will work under the guidance of the Executive Director, the National Recovery Support Services Director, the Director of Operations, and their local Recovery Support Services director to facilitate the engagement of individuals who may benefit from community-based re-entry services, including the delivery of direct peer recovery support services, employment and vocational support, and other social determinants support as needed. The RSPD will support a program team in the delivery of services in-person, digitally, and virtually as is appropriate.The RSPD will serve as a role model, mentor, advocate, navigator, and motivator to peer staff, and at times, individuals in or seeking recovery and re-entry in an effort to promote person-centered recovery planning and goal realizations, which may include reductions in harm from substance use and sustaining long-term recovery. The RSPD must demonstrate an ability to manage all aspects of re-entry programming at a recovery community center and other relevant locations operated by Unity, including staff and programming scheduling, one-on-one and group supervision, referral partner relationships, partner relationships, and development of new programming as applicable. The RSPD should consciously share personal recovery and re-entry experiences as appropriate, develop authentic peer-to-peer relationships, and have an understanding of and respect for each individuals unique path to recovery and re-entry. Minimum Requirements/Qualifications: Certified Recovery Specialist, Certified Peer Specialist, or Certified Family Recovery Specialist with at least three years of experience working in institutional or community-based recovery settings, and at least one year of experience supervising peer staff in a community-based recovery setting. High degree of technological literacy, or willingness to acquire these skills as part of employmentBackground check may be required for staff that will work with youth, inside criminal justice settings, or other settings as determined by Executive Leadership.Reliable and insured personal transportation.Preferred Qualifications: Certified Recovery Specialist Supervisor or completion of Certified Peer Specialist Supervisor trainingForensic Peer Specialist training and/or PCB EndorsementExperience managing a recovery-centric re-entry services program in a community-based setting, including managing peer support staff, and maintaining community and business partnerships.Experience managing a grant-funded program, including budgeting, achieving deliverables, and completion of required reporting.*Dont meet every single requirement? You may be just the right candidate for this or other roles.Essential Duties:Work a minimum of 4 in person days per week as scheduled and have availability of at least one weekend day each week.Provide oversight and direct supervision of re-entry programs peer specialist staff.Facilitate daily shift debriefs, as well as weekly individual supervision, and monthly group supervision in partnership with the local Recovery Support Services Director.Provide peer-based re-entry, employment, and recovery support services to individuals contemplating or actively seeking help with behavioral health recovery and re-entry as needed.Engage in relationship building and management with community, business, and governmental partners as needed to further the reach and impact of re-entry services and programming;Administrative duties include program and activities scheduling, staff schedules, data tracking and entry, monthly service engagement reports, and regular communication via digital platforms.Support the expansion of the Unity Recovery Friendly Workplace program to support BIPOC owned businesses and content delivery specific to supporting re-entering employees in the workplace for existing and new RFW employers.Ability to read and interpret financial reports and make service and programming recommendations to Executive Leadership based upon this information.Conduct self in an ethical manner by adhering to the PCB codes of ethics.Follow and adhere to the recovery bill of rights. Daily Job Responsibilities: Provide re-entry, employment, lifeskills, and wellness education to individuals for every phase of the recovery and re-entry journey from pre-recovery engagement, recovery initiation, recovery stabilization, and sustained recovery and integration into society.Identify emergency or crisis situations and facilitate access to appropriate resources, negotiating and connecting individuals with resources and navigating systems. De-escalate situations as needed at physical locations among participants, drop-in guests, and staff.Provide direct daily supervision of peer staff to include real-time feedback loops, problem solving, and recommendations as needed.Assist in the development and enhancement of peer staff professional growth, including training and education in ethics, recovery and re-entry support service delivery, resource navigation, and other topics as relevantDirect the organizations collaboration and partnerships with institutions to provide effective re-entry and recovery support services to identified individuals. Maintain project logs, reports, and accurate records in appropriate files and database(s), adhering to program standards. Maintain confidentiality regarding information received during the facilitation of services including current understanding of federal, state and local confidentiality rules and regulations.Engage in continuing professional development relative to recovery support services, applying practical and professional knowledge and experience.

Maintain CRS, CPS, or CFRS credential and attain new credentials as appropriate.Other duties as directed by Executive Leadership Compensation:
