Senior Associate Director of Admission

Milken Community School seeks a highly collaborative and strategic Senior Associate Director of Admission to serve as a key leader within the Office of Admission and Enrollment Management for grades 612. This role oversees the day-to-day function of the admission office, including the daily operations and systems, management of the Associate Director of Admission and ensuring the successful execution of recruitment, enrollment, and engagement initiatives. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced admission professional to contribute to a dynamic and mission-driven independent school community. This position reports to the Director of Admission and Enrollment Management. Responsibilities

Serve as the daily operational leader of the admission office and supervise the team of Associate Directors of Admission. Conduct weekly one-on-one meetings with direct reports to provide coaching, mentorship, and accountability. Lead weekly moves management meetings, utilizing admissions data and funnel insights to focus team priorities throughout the admission cycle. Support the Director of Admission in mentoring and developing admission team members. Recruitment & Relationship Management

Build and maintain strong relationships with prospective families throughout the admissions process. Conduct student and parent interviews and represent the school during recruitment events. Manage a portfolio of key feeder schools and educational partners, including relationships with school heads, outplacement counselors, and community professionals. Represent Milken Community School at both on-campus and off-campus recruitment events. Admission Events & Programming

Oversee the planning and execution of all major admission events, including: Open Houses Parent Coffees Campus Tours Feeder school visits Parlor Meetings Welcome events Translate strategic enrollment goals into compelling and engaging programming. Ensure events reflect the school's mission and provide an exceptional experience for prospective families. Application Review & Enrollment Process

Serve as a senior member of the Admission Decision Committee. Participate in the evaluation of applicants and the admission decision-making process. Monitor the admissions funnel and support strategies that convert applicants to enrolled students. Identify opportunities to strengthen yield and family engagement throughout the enrollment process. Support the onboarding and transition experience for newly enrolled families. Data, Reporting & Enrollment Analysis

Monitor key admissions metrics across the recruitment funnel, including inquiries, applications, yield, and enrollment trends, to surface patterns and areas of focus during the admissions cycle. Maintain and refine internal tracking and benchmarking tools to ensure accurate and consistent reporting of admissions data. Oversee the preparation of weekly and seasonal data summaries that inform moves management conversations and support the team in prioritizing outreach and recruitment efforts. Develop dashboards, pivot analyses, and clear data summaries that equip the Director with timely information for strategic decision making. Assist the Director in preparing data summaries and supporting materials for senior leadership and board-level conversations related to enrollment trends and outcomes. Support the Director by compiling enrollment projections and yield tracking that inform broader admission and enrollment planning. Collaboration & Community Engagement

Partner with the Communications team on recruitment messaging, marketing materials, and admissions content. Collaborate with colleagues across External Relations, Development, Alumni Relations, and the Milken Parent Association. Serve as a visible ambassador for Milken Community School within the broader community. Qualifications

Required

Bachelor's degree. 710 years of experience in admissions or enrollment management, preferably in an independent school environment. Demonstrated leadership experience supervising or mentoring colleagues. Exceptional interpersonal and relationship-building skills with families and community partners. Strong organizational and project management abilities. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. High level of professionalism, discretion, and sound judgment. Preferred

Experience with Blackbaud or other admissions/enrollment management systems. Experience analyzing admissions or enrollment data to support strategic planning. Familiarity with independent school admissions for grades 612. Standard On-Campus Hours Start: M - F by 8 AM End: M -Th 4 PM, F 3:00 PM *All schedules are subject to change.
