Position Summary The

Senior Director, Consumer Engagement

leads the development and execution of integrated marketing communications that bring Welch’s growth strategy to life. This role ensures Consumer Engagement serves as a proactive driver of brand equity, consumer connection, and business growth.

Partnering closely with Brand Teams, Consumer Insights, and external agency partners, this leader translates strategy into insight-driven communications plans that balance near‑term performance with long‑term brand transformation. The role also leads and develops a high‑performing Consumer Engagement team, fostering collaboration, creative excellence, and seamless execution across all consumer touchpoints.

Where You’ll Work This role will be based out of our Waltham, MA headquarters where you will be immersed in a dynamic workplace where innovation thrives and collaboration is key.

Our company in-office schedule is designed to maximize collaboration & relationship building balanced with flexibility and well-being with 3 days in office and Thursdays/Friday being remote, flex days.

What You’ll Do

Own enterprise-wide consumer-facing marketing communications, ensuring alignment with Welch’s growth strategy and brand priorities.

Lead the development of holistic communications strategies grounded in deep consumer insight and designed to drive both near‑term performance and long‑term brand equity.

Translate enterprise and brand growth objectives into integrated annual Consumer Engagement plans across creative, media, digital, packaging, shopper, and digital shelf.

Oversee execution excellence through strong agency leadership, clear ways of working, and disciplined budget management.

Design and optimize the internal team structure and external partnerships required to deliver against strategic priorities.

Serve as a strategic thought partner to senior leadership, contributing to enterprise growth planning and transformation initiatives.

Build, lead, and develop a high‑performing, multidisciplinary Consumer Engagement team, fostering a culture of creativity, collaboration, accountability, and inclusive leadership.

What You’ll Need

15+ years of progressive Marketing experience within food & beverage or CPG, including senior leadership roles, with at least 10 years focused on Consumer Engagement

Proven leadership across multiple Consumer Engagement disciplines (creative, media, packaging)

Experience partnering deeply with Brand Marketing, Consumer Insights and External Agencies

Demonstrated ability to influence enterprise strategy and operate at executive level

Strong people leadership experience, including leading leaders

Track record of driving Brand Transformation through Consumer Engagement, preferred

Licensing, or partnership experience, preferred

The anticipated hiring base salary range for this position is $230,000 - $240,000 annually for US-based employees. This range reflects the minimum and maximum for the position across all US locations, is based on a full‑time work schedule, and is Welch’s good faith estimate as of the date of this posting. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job‑related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. In addition to base salary, this role is eligible for participation in a bonus plan.
