About Creative Excellence Creative Excellence is a service line that helps clients attain best‑in‑class advertising that drives business results through Creative Development, Creative Assessment, Creative In‑Market, and Advertising Platform Effectiveness. The line publishes industry thought leadership and partners with the ARF, ANA, The Female Quotient, SeeHer, Effie, and Contagious.
Role Overview The Director of Creative Research and Insights leads a team that supports ad sales clients through the entire advertising lifecycle. You will advise clients, lead research design, deliver insights, and grow the business.
What you can expect to be doing
Act as a trusted strategic advisor focused on business growth through quantitative and qualitative research solutions.
Lead a team through project execution and deliverables to exceed client objectives.
Drive research design, insights development, data visualization, and storytelling.
Serve as a mentor and champion within the service line to foster collaboration and expertise.
Identify operational efficiencies and implement them consistently.
Coach junior team members and manage one or more account managers.
Lead questionnaire design, data analysis, and interpretation to provide actionable insights.
Contribute to new business development and expanded partnerships.
Participate in initiatives supporting the service line (growth, new product, employee training & engagement).
This might be the job for you if you have
At least 6 years of experience in market research, advertising, marketing, or consumer insights.
Experience in ad sales, marketing, media, or tech (a plus).
A bachelor’s degree or higher (Business, Marketing, or Communications preferred).
Experience leading a high‑performing team.
Experience working with large datasets, complex logic, and extracting meaningful insights.
A client‑driven, solutions‑oriented mindset and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
At least 3 years of quantitative research experience (survey design, sampling, analysis).
Some experience with qualitative research (focus groups, in‑depth interviews).
At least 3 years of project management experience.
Strong communication skills to translate complex data into actionable insights.
Understanding of advanced analytics.
Eye for design/visual storytelling.
Confidence to think on your feet and lead workshops with senior executives.
Knowledge of advertising sales platforms and desire to tackle challenging problems.
Strong business acumen and critical thinking skills.
Track record of leading proposals and new business development.
Proficiency with MS Office and Google Workplace (Excel, PowerPoint, Sheets, Slides).
Proficiency with survey building tools.
