Head of Real Estate Strategy & Operations Germany (f/m/x)
Company Description
As Head of Real Estate Strategy & Operations Germany (f/m/x), you will take full ownership of the country’s branch network, driving performance, cost efficiency, and strategic development. You will ensure the network operates as a lean, data-driven engine, optimizing Opex and Capex, negotiating high-impact leases, improving branch throughput, and leveraging logistics synergies. Your work will keep the network agile, efficient, and aligned with both local operational needs and broader European strategy, delivering immediate, measurable impact on the company’s mission in the automotive market.
Your new Role
Own the end-to-end performance of our German branch network, including cost structure (Opex & Capex), operational efficiency, and output
Lead and develop cross-functional teams (Facility, Property, Procurement) with clear accountability for performance and results
Drive network optimization by identifying underperforming locations and executing data-driven actions (e.g. relocation, renegotiation, turnaround)
Act as the key interface between German operations and European HQ, ensuring alignment between local execution and global strategy
Steer and optimize all major cost drivers while implementing KPI-based performance management across the network
Deliver fast, standardized, and cost-efficient execution of openings, closures, refurbishments, and vendor management
Continuously improve processes to increase scalability, efficiency, and operational simplicity
Your Skills
Degree in Real Estate, Business Administration, or a comparable field
Proven leadership experience in Real Estate within a multi-site environment (e.g. retail, logistics, operations-heavy businesses)
Track record in portfolio optimization, network transformation, or cost-focused operational roles (ideally in high-growth or PE-backed environments)
Strong experience in lease negotiations and contract management
Ability to translate complex cost, performance, and operational data into clear business decisions
Strong analytical mindset combined with a hands‑on, execution-driven approach
Fluent in German and English
Success in this role is measured by
Total cost control and continuous optimization across the branch network
Speed and effectiveness of network optimization (relocations, closures, renegotiations)
Operational uptime and reliability of all locations
Commercial performance of lease agreements and external partners
Measurable efficiency gains and process improvements
